Take a journey through art with Sharon Jeffus! In this lesson, you’ll learn about two basic elements of art: value and texture. Check out some master works of art by the great German-American artist Albert Bierstadt. Learn underpainting techniques to create atmospheric perspective using acrylic paints, wipes, and brushes. Work on two projects: a mountain scene with trees, and a beach with a palm tree.

Loved this lesson. I did it along with my two homeschoolers and we all had fun!
I am so appreciative of your online lessons. I home school 3 children for an all volunteer organization that operates by donation. So to have the opportunity to utilize this medium is a great blessing. Today there were children ages 13, 11, 8, and 7 taking the class. The hand wipes are a pleasure for easy cleanup. We only did the mountain scene and while we waited for it to dry we played the compound word game.
