Are you or your children struggling with despair over the current world situation? God’s word tells us many times not to fear. With Jesus, we have overcome and have hope not only in this life but, in the life to come!
To help you build your homeschool hope, here’s what the Bible has to say about hope:
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” Romans 8:25
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
“But for you, O Lord, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.” Psalm 38:15
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
“And in his name the Gentiles will hope.” Matthew 12:21
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
“Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” Psalm 31:24
To feed your spirit with these scriptures is to not only read them daily, but, enlist your children in posting them around your house of reminders of God’s presence and faithfulness. Help your children look them up in the Bible and read them in context for greater understanding. Challenge yourself with memorizing these verses. Pick a scripture to journal. After a time of prayer, write down specifically what the scripture speaks to you and your personal situation.
Let these words strengthen you. As you hare them with your children, be strengthened together as you walk through this historic time in history!
