Sometimes we just need a few words of encouragement to help us out in life. I get so caught up in what I am not doing and what I may have done wrong or said wrong. I feel inadequate to teach my children, mother them, and be a good wife.

Today I will share some encouraging words with you in case you need it. If you don’t need it, save it for a time when you might or pass it along to someone who does. Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it is ugly and dark and painful. Sharing an encouraging word helps lift the spirit and refresh the soul. Especially if it is said from the heart.

Words of Encouragement:

  1. You can do this- whatever it is, homeschooling, a new job, a new baby, you can do it. God is with you and is a Helper in times of trouble. Ask Him and He will guide you.
  2. You are good enough- you aren’t perfect but you are good enough for the task at hand. We need God but He has made us capable of asking Him for help and doing what needs to be done. You were put here for a purpose.
  3. You are strong enough- pain comes in many different forms, physical, emotional, spiritual. God can give you strength to endure and persevere through any trial. I live with chronic pain and without Him, I would not be alive today.
  4. You are beautiful- God formed you in the womb. He made you. You are beautiful to Him. Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. Sin has made us feel ugly but with God’s forgiveness and mercy, we can be beautiful and free from sin.
  5. Shake it off- I’ve had so many people throughout my life tell me awful things. It used to bother me but now I just shake it off. I like to say I shake the dust from my feet. I can’t let other people determine how I live my life or how I feel. I also can’t control others. I can control me and I choose to not let things bother me so much anymore. It’s a very freeing way to live.

Someone needed to hear this today. I pray that you read this and truly let the words into your heart. God doesn’t want us to be discouraged or down. In those moments, open your Bible and read. God has given so much wisdom and encouragement in His word. He is a comforter and shield. You are enough for Him.
