Just one sick child is a different story and it depends on how sick they are. If it’s just a general, “I don’t feel good,” they’re typically expected to complete their wok unless I can really tell that they just don’t feel good. If there is fever, vomiting, or other obvious signs of illness, that rates a day in Mom and Dad’s bed with the TV on for company and maybe meals and drinks brought to you — a good dose of pampering.
