It’s warming up. Summer’s here in spirit, if not actually in season. So… while that means that school ends for public schoolers, sometimes it doesn’t for homeschoolers.

I am a huge fan of homeschooling. Humongous, really. I love homeschooling, despite the hardness of it, the humor poked at it, and the heavy work load.

I can not believe we are half way through our twelfth year of homeschooling. The biggest reason I can’t believe this is that I can not fathom that I am old enough to have a child old enough to have been educated for twelve years.

Many people believe the lie that homeschooling is just easy for those who do it. Sometimes I believe it too. But it really is a lie. Just like any job, sometimes homeschooling is just plain hard. Sometimes it’s really hard.

So… it’s February. For many homeschoolers that means next year’s curriculum is being considered. For many it means they are wishing they had chose something different for this year. Both are reasonable.
