Another year has come and gone. Out with the old, in with the new. Time for fresh hopes, fresh dreams, and fresh aspirations. All that aside, if you’re like many people, you might have already broken your New Year’s resolution. There’s no need to fear! God’s view on fresh starts never falls short! Here’s what the Bible says about beginnings and fresh starts!
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched – this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.” 1 John 1:1
“In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.” Psalm 102:25
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” Psalm 111:10
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7
“He said to me: ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.’” Revelation 21:6
When life happens and you let go of those resolutions, don’t feel condemned. Return to the word of God for guidance! Trust His word and allow the rest of the pieces to fall into place. Rest in the knowledge that the Creator, YOUR Creator, already knows the best resolution and how to give you a fresh start!
