As the weather warms for many of us, we have the perfect opportunity to teach our children science in a more casual, observant manner. For my family, our homeschooling Spring and Summers were spent outdoors observing, reflecting, documenting, and researching. Whether hanging bird feeders, planting a garden or wading through ponds catching tadpoles we were all eager to get our hands dirty so to speak. I must confess, being several years past active homeschooling, I am still drawn to nature studies-even placing a hummingbird feeder outside my window at work last week!

So my question, are you mixing things up a bit with your Science studies? Please share your Nature Studies (or other outside hands on Science activities). I would love to hear what you are doing!
